FAQs
Q: Do i need to LEARN TO MEDITATE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE?
A: No. Closing your eyes in a state of calmness and internal quietness works, just as praying. However, meditation is recommended since it enables you to enter a deep contemplative state in which your internal noise is minimized. Then you can focus better on the subject of contemplation. If you want to learn to meditate, you can find many resources in the web. Done as a consistent practice, meditation can bring many unexpected improvements to you as well.
q: WHO IS BEHIND UNIT-E?
A: Us; you and me. People who only want to be a friend to the World. Unit-E has no affiliations of any kind nor attempts to advertise or promote any beliefs, goods or services. We would all be privileged to have you say that this is your project too.
Q: what exactly should i project my thoughts onto during this wednesday's meditation?
A: It is good idea to look at the news feed prior to participating. Not to get anxious about the issue itself, but to identify key subjects of focus. These subjects of focus can be persons, nations, natural events, ideas, and so on; anything you can clearly visualize in your mind. When you project your thoughts, set aside beliefs, convictions, or avoid making any judgement on the subjects of focus. Instead, imagine how the environment affected by these subjects would look like if there was no problem at all. Hold that image in your mind and try to feel the benign environment you have produced. If the issue is of two leaders raising bellicose rhetoric against each other, instead imagine them being friends. Ask yourself, how would their countries benefit? Would they share knowledge rather than anger? Another example is of a hurricane forecast to hit a town near the ocean. Instead of this possibility, why don't you imagine that town on a sunny day? What are people doing in the town? Enjoying a swim at the beach? Playing volleyball? In general, the more tangible your visualization is, even perhaps one where you can get immersed in positive feelings and enjoy the situation as if you were actually there, the better. Remember, your mind is powerful.
Q: WILL THIS ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Absolutely. Think about that cherished friend who is arriving to your reunion. As soon as she walks into the room, doesn't the environment cheer up with her presence? This is most likely because of the type of thoughts she usually projects and communicates. However, spoken language is just one way to communicate thoughts. Science is converging with ancient wisdom in that no-one is separate and a field unites as all. Therefore, the quality of your friend's thoughts directly affects the environment as well. There have been over 40 scientific studies that point to the effect of positive thoughts on reducing crime and violence. These experiments have been conducted in schools, prisons and even in the city of Washington D.C. Although Unit-E is not a scientific project, it has a scientific basis on which to expect success. Find more information in the 'Subjects of Interest' section; you may find especially interesting Chapter 11 of the book by Lynne McTaggart. Finally, consider that if your emotions are positively influenced by exercising your goodwill on Wednesday's, then you can already claim success. Indeed, you will likely be better tuned to contribute to a positive environment wherever you go; just as your cherished friend often does.
Q: WHY DO I NEED TO DO IT AT A CERTAIN TIME?
A: Scientific studies show that the impact of thoughts at a collective level is more notable on the environment when the number of people projecting those thoughts is greater (find more info in the 'Subject of Interest' section). We have set 15:00 hrs GMT as the time for our Wednesday's meditation because it spans most locations during waking hours.
